I shot this picture with a telephoto lens so even though I had a higher aperture I was still able to achieve creamy bokeh. In Photoshop I used a levels layer to get the lighting where I wanted it and the used a saturation level to boost the color a little bit. I gave it a slight vignette and finished with a unsharp mask to keep the image crisp.

I took this thinking of Jared's question in class and ended up liking the image it portrayed about life... and death. I used a levels layer in photoshop to adjust my light, and a high pass level make it a bit more sharp. I cloned out of few rather disturbing things in the foreground on the road so that most could look at it without getting sick.

On this image I used a vignette, which I thought worked well to bring the viewers eyes to the main point of the image. I used a unsharp mask and a high pass with an overlay on this image to bring out the small details.

I really liked the contrast of light and dark between the two horses so I tried several shots until I got this one which I thought portrayed it well. I made the photo black and white in camera raw and brought out the contrast more in Photoshop with both a levels layer and a contrast and brightness layer.
